Meet the Accelerate Consulting Winter/Spring 2019 Semester Interns
We are pleased to announce Accelerate Consulting's winter (and first ever) interns.
Our interns are current undergraduate students at Duke University. Both of our interns are the Class of 2021 and their majors include Economics, Computer Science, Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Philosophy. The interns were chosen from an applicant pool of 9 talented students - both undergraduate and graduate students.
Please join us in welcoming Ajay and Brian to the firm. We excited to have them join us for the Winter/Spring semester!
Ajay is currently a sophomore at Duke University, where he studies Economics, Philosophy, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. He attended boarding school in Massachusetts and currently lives in New Jersey. Ajay’s previous internship experiences include private equity and non-profit. This coming summer he will be a summer analyst at a sales & trading firm in New York.
His professional interests include social innovation, impact investing, consulting, and private equity. Ajay is specifically passionate about innovation in spheres surrounding inter-generational poverty, including access to education and affordable housing. At Duke, Ajay is involved with the Community Empowerment Fund, which supports low-income members of Durham with employment, housing, and obtaining/increasing income. He is also part of Duke TAMID, and consults for Israeli start-ups regarding business strategy and expansion. This semester, he is especially looking forward to trying to found a non-profit entrepreneurship accelerator in Durham, NC.
In his free time, Ajay enjoys listening to hip-hop, watching NBA basketball, and traveling with family and friends. Ajay is extremely excited to learn about the digital media industry and work alongside the Accelerate Consulting team!
Brian is a sophomore at Duke University studying Economics, Computer Science, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Originally from the Atlanta area, he is actively involved with the Duke Investment Club and Duke Business Society. He is most excited about leading the MindSpark program this year, a local organization that brings enhanced finance and STEM opportunities to lower income and minority students in Durham. Last semester, Brian worked as a remote intern for Iyanu, a global macro hedge fund specifically in the foreign exchange division, researching potential investments for portfolio managers.
In his free time, Brian loves to remain active, playing intramural volleyball and various other sports. His professional interests currently encompass the worlds of finance and consulting, and he hopes to gain experience in both of these realms throughout his undergraduate experience. Brian is looking forward to both learning and contributing alongside his colleagues at Accelerate Consulting
